Youth Protection Training (YPT) is mandatory for every registered adult volunteer — and for any parent who wants to chaperone trips or events. It's free, takes about 35 minutes online, and is valid for 2 years.

BALOO is required for any pack overnighter. It's a one-day in-person course offered by the Adventure West Council several times a year. If your den or pack plans to go camping, at least one leader must hold a current BALOO certification. Check awbsa.org for upcoming dates near you.
