2026 Pack Camp Season

Four camping opportunities this season — from a mountain creek at 7,400 feet to the high plains of Wyoming. Every scout should aim for at least one.

Camp Patiya

Nestled 7 miles west of Boulder at 7,400 feet, Camp Patiya offers 30 acres of forest camping along a mountain stream. Pack 62's summer resident camp.

Cub World at BDSR — Session 1

Ben Delatour Scout Ranch near Red Feather Lakes, CO. Session 1 — $175/scout, $100/adult. Three days of themed adventure lands in the Roosevelt National Forest.

AWC Council Camps

Pack 62 is part of the Adventure West Council, which operates six premier camp properties across Colorado and Wyoming.

Ben Delatour Scout Ranch

Near Red Feather Lakes, CO

2,500-acre property at 8,000 feet in the Roosevelt National Forest. Home of Cub World summer sessions. Hiking, climbing, shooting sports, aquatics.

Camp Patiya

Boulder Canyon, CO

30 acres at 7,400 feet, 7 miles west of Boulder. Mountain stream, forested camping. Pack 62's primary resident camp.

Camp Laramie Peak

Wheatland, WY

High plains camp near the Laramie Mountains. Home of the annual AWC Camporall each fall.

Camp Buffalo Bill

Near Yellowstone Country, WY

Remote adventure camp near the Wyoming high country. Epic scenery and serious outdoor challenges.

Chimney Park

Wyoming

Backcountry camp property for older scouts and high-adventure programs.

Doc Robertson

AWC Council

Day camp and introductory overnight property. Great for first-time campers.

Be Prepared

What to Pack

First-time campers don't need to buy everything at once. Here's what every scout needs:

  • Sleeping bag (rated to 30°F)
  • Tent (pack provides extras)
  • Sturdy boots or trail shoes
  • Rain jacket
  • Water bottle (32oz+)
  • Headlamp + extra batteries
  • Change of clothes for each day
  • Layers (Colorado mornings are cold)
  • Sunscreen & bug spray
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Mess kit (plate, cup, utensils)
  • Trash bags
  • Class A uniform for ceremonies
  • Medications (notify den leader)
  • No electronics at camp (phones for emergencies only)

Where to find gear: Pack 62 scouts can find gear at the Loveland Scout Shop, Cabela's in Thornton, or REI in Boulder/Denver.

First Timers Welcome

New to Camping?

Every scout starts somewhere. Our experienced den leaders and adult volunteers make sure first-time campers feel safe, supported, and excited — not overwhelmed.

Pack 62 has tents, cooking equipment, and other gear available for families who don't have everything yet. Just ask.

Parents are welcome — and encouraged — to camp alongside their scouts, especially for younger dens.

Adults who want to lead overnight camping trips complete BALOO training through the AWC. Ask your den leader about the next available course.
