Six signature events. Mountain camps. Community milestones. From Thomas Reservoir to the Colorado National Speedway — gear up, put on that Class A uniform, and show up.
🎣 Free Event · No Registration
Pack 62 scouts hit the water at Thomas Reservoir for Erie's annual Youth Fishing Derby — a free, family-friendly morning of casting, fish ID, and Colorado's wide-open outdoors. Open to all youth ages 5–12. The first 100 participants get a complimentary fishing pole.
Hosted by Colorado Parks & Wildlife and Arbor Anglers. No pre-registration required. Bring your enthusiasm — poles provided for first 100 kids!
🏁 Color Guard
Pack 62 presents the colors at Colorado National Speedway on three race nights this summer. This is one of the most visible, pride-filled moments of the scouting year — standing on the track, flag in hand, representing something bigger than yourself.
All Pack 62 scouts and family members are encouraged to attend all three dates. Details and exact call time sent via pack communications.
🏕️ Overnight Camp
Pack 62 heads to the mountains — 7 miles west of Boulder at 7,400 feet. Two nights in a 30-acre mountain forest setting with activities, campfires, and Colorado air you can taste. This is the kind of camp your kids will talk about all summer.
Registration through Adventure West Council's camp reservation system. Health forms required for all participants. Contact your den leader for pack-specific details and group registration.
From themed adventure lands to council-wide campouts — there's no shortage of epic moments in 2026.
☀️ Summer · Session 1
3 days, 2 nights of themed lands — knights, cowboys, ship captains — at Ben Delatour Scout Ranch in Red Feather Lakes. Lions through Webelos. Imagination required.
☀️ Summer · Session 2
Couldn't make Session 1? Same incredible themed adventure — a second chance to let imaginations run wild at Camp Jack Nicol BDSR. Same location, same magic.
🍂 Fall · AOL Scouts
Council-wide campout at Camp Laramie Peak in Wheatland, Wyoming. AOL scouts camp alongside Scouts BSA troops — a preview of what's ahead on the bridge to Boy Scouts.
Pack 62 is a parent-led organization. Every event on this page happens because parents show up — to drive, to chaperone, to carry gear, to cheer. We're not asking you to take on a full-time leadership role. We're asking you to show up a few times a year. Your child will notice. So will the whole pack.
Every event on this page is open to registered Pack 62 families. Prospective families are welcome at most events too — come see what we're about before you commit.
